Aegis BPO:  Sacks Intoxicated Trainer

On May 18th, an Aegis Manager discovers Voice and Accent Trainer,  Tayyab Khan lying prone at the bottom of the stairs at Aegis Offices in Begumpet, Hyderabad.  Naturally concerned,  he rushes to the aid of the fallen employee. 

When he pulls Trainer Tayyab to his feet,  he notices something wrong.  It is not an accident but the Trainer fell as he was ‘tired and emotional’ from substance abuse.  On interrogation,  it is revealed that this addiction has been a long term problem for this talented Trainer with a promising future.

The management goes in a huddle.  What should we do about an obvious talent  with a problem affecting a few in the cash-rich BPO industry with a shortage of good Trainers ?   The big boss decided to sack him as an example for not doing the right thing at work.  According to office goss,  a team meeting was held,  and the message reiterated that such behavior would never be tolerated.
